October 31 “Festive Gourd Day”

What: Union spirit/solidarity day

When: October 31, 2023

Wear: Fun and festive fall colors and items (orange, black, pumpkins, etc.)

Why:

To acknowledge the fact that what we wear does not have an impact on the wonderful work we do as educators;

To celebrate that we do not have draconian dress codes in our collective bargaining agreements;

To begin showing our solidarity as we are about 1 year out from beginning the contract bargaining process again; and

To have a little fun!

Do: Have fun with the theme and take pictures with your union siblings and share your pictures with us!
