COMMUNITY MEETING IN MALDEN

Wednesday, January 22, 2020 @ 6:30pm

Malden High School Gallery, 77 Salem St., Malden, MA 02148 (use the Ferry St. entrance)

Sponsored by Mayor Gary Christenson and the Malden Education Association

Resources at the meeting will include City Life/Vida Urbana, Greater Boston Legal Services, and the Chinese Progressive Association.

Join us to learn important information about:

  1. Your rights when faced with a big rent increase or no-fault eviction
  2. Other issues in landlord-tenant law
  3. What can be done about the displacement problem in Malden
  4. Problems of small owners dealing with bank foreclosures

“We residents at 33 Park St. in Malden got a 40% rent increase 8 months ago after our building was sold. At first we didn’t know our rights. We thought we had to move out of our homes right away. But then we learned our rights. We are still in our homes.” –Lynnette Ng, resident 33 Park St.
